STEPP

Donna Independent School District is proud to highlight the meaningful work taking place in its 18+ STEPP Program, which supports students as they transition from high school into adulthood through real-world learning experiences.

The Structured Training and Employment Preparation Program focuses on helping students develop independence, confidence, and workplace readiness. Through hands-on training and on-site experiences, students are building essential life and employment skills that prepare them for success beyond the classroom.

Students in the STEPP Program actively engage in daily routines that emphasize responsibility, communication, and job performance. These experiences allow students to practice skills in authentic settings while receiving guidance and support from dedicated teachers and staff.

This work reflects the strength of collaboration between Donna ISD schools, families, and community partners. The district extends its appreciation to Legacy Community Partners Big Auto Auction, Golden Corral McAllen, and Comfort Inn Donna for providing valuable opportunities that help students gain practical experience in professional environments.

Donna ISD also recognizes the commitment of STEPP educators and the continued support of parents who play a vital role in student growth and success. Together, these efforts are creating pathways that empower students to reach their full potential.

The 18+ STEPP Program exemplifies Donna ISD’s commitment to preparing every student for life beyond graduation while building a legacy of opportunity and inclusion across the district.
