Head Start Program
Donna ISD, in partnership with the Hidalgo County Head Start Program, offers this enriching program at Stainke Elementary, Salinas STEAM Academy, Singleterry Elementary, and Donna 1. Designed for qualifying 3 and 4-year-olds, the program provides a solid educational foundation led by certified teachers.
Children engage in activities such as circle time, where they develop communication and social skills through group interactions, singing, and reading. The program also focuses on literacy and cognitive development through pre-reading, language, vocabulary, and numeracy. Playtime is an essential component, fostering socialization, language, and motor skills. Together, Donna ISD and Hidalgo County Head Start ensure your child is prepared for the next grade level and beyond.
