Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Antonia Olivarez

Hello awesome Seminoles and welcome to the best middle school in Donna! My name is Mrs. Antonia Olivarez and I’ll be teaching 7th grade Texas History and 8th grade U.S. History. I am super excited to start this new school year with you! Even though we are starting virtually, we are going to have the best school year ever!

I graduated from the University of Texas Pan American in 2008. I began my teaching career with Donna ISD that same year at M. Rivas Elementary. In 2011, I moved to Dora M. Sauceda Middle School and have been a proud Seminole since. While working at Sauceda I have taught reading, ESL/ELD, and social studies. I have also been a part of various committees, been team leader and department chair, coached UIL, sponsored student council, written curriculum, and assisted in conducting trainings for my colleagues.

In an effort to further my education, I obtained my Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in December of 2019. Learning and teaching is a very important part of my life and I truly hope to instill the love of learning in all of you, my students!

You made the right choice in selecting Sauceda as your middle school. I can’t wait to meet you and get this school year started.

So be ready to “Blast into the Past” with Mrs. O!!!!
