Donna ISD has partnered with the Hidalgo County Head Start Program to educate a new generation of 3 and 4-year-olds within our district. Led by certified teachers, qualifying students will receive a solid educational base that includes circle time, which involves group interactions, singing songs and reading books. These activities are designed to help children feel comfortable with their environment and peers and allow them to practice their communication and social skills. The students also participate in literacy and cognitive learning by engaging in pre-reading, language, vocabulary, and numeracy. Playtime is also essential because it allows the child to socialize with their peers and develop their language and physical and motor skills. Donna ISD’s Head Start Program is sure to prepare your child for the next grade level and beyond.
