  • REMEMBERING OUR HISTORY:

In Montgomery, Alabama in 1955, Rosa Parks was jailed for refusing to give up her seat on a public bus, thus violating the city's racial segregation laws. Today she is known as "The mother of the Civil Rights movement." She is just one of the individuals our students learn about while covering the significance of the Civil Rights Era.
