Bill Summary for House Bill 914: HB 914 (Woolley Williams)

By: Woolley Williams. Relating to disclosure and availability of certain information concerning certain local government officers and vendors.

Summary:

This bill would require a local government officer, which includes a superintendent of a school district, to file a conflicts disclosure statement if a vendor is contracting with a local government entity, e.g. school district, and the vendor has a financial relationship with the local government officer or a family member which results in taxable income. The bill also applies if the vendor gives the local government officer gifts which total more than $250 in a year.
