Agenda Item Placement Form
Request for placement of an item on the board agenda must be submitted seven days prior to the Regular
or Special Board Meeting.
Trustees convene for regular sessions at 6:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month in the Board Room of the Administration Building, 904 Hester Avenue, Donna, Texas. Regular meetings may be reset or relocated and special meetings may be called.
Agendas are posted outside the Administration Building at the Hester Avenue entrance 72 hours prior to a regular or special meeting and at least two hours before an emergency meeting. Agendas are also posted on the District's website.
Regular Meeting: A meeting held on the first Tuesday of each month. Action may be taken.
Special Meeting: A meeting held on a date other than the regular scheduled meeting date. Action may be taken.
Emergency Meeting: A meeting scheduled with at least two hours notice to the public. An emergency meeting is usually called to address a situation which must be handled immediately. Action may be taken.
Workshop: A meeting between the board members and staff to receive information. No action may be taken.
Citizen Participation
At regular meetings the Board will allot time to hear persons who desire to make comments to the Board. Persons who wish to participate in this portion of the meeting shall sign up in the Open Forum binder before the meeting begins and shall indicate the topic about which they wish to speak. No presentation shall exceed five minutes. Delegations of more than five persons shall appoint one person to present their views before the Board. Questions and comments must be addressed to the Board of Trustees, not to individual persons. Any comments directed at any specific employees of the District or any specific personnel matter must be made in executive session.
